This was the very first film that scared me. I remember watching it as a child in the early evening. My mum was going out and she popped in to say goodbye, I was terrified but didn't want to tell her. I remember her saying goodbye, hearing the front door close and I managed to watch the rest of it on my own (there would have been a babysitter in the house as I was young).
I watched it again today and it was almost just as terrifying. Dark, intense, horrific and brilliant.

I've seen newer versions of this movie, but not this one. I'd like to see it!
