The Ultimate Christmas Movie

The Big One and I are heading to Wales to spend Christmas with My Lovely Dad and his wife (blog-name Painter) at their lovely and very remote cottage. We are taking with us some delicious goodies to contribute to the 3 day feast of Christmas BUT we are also taking a classic Christmas movie for us to watch together.

I haven't seen a lot of the obvious choices so the decision was tough...

In the end I chose;

For a bit of glam and glitz! Champagne, Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby, heaven!

"Phil Davis: When what's left of you gets around to what's left to be gotten, what's left to be gotten won't be worth getting, whatever it is you've got left.

Bob Wallace: When I figure out what that means I'll come up with a crushing reply."

Hair It Is...Well, What's Left!

I did it! Yesterday I chopped my long hair off for the first time and it feels AMAZE-BALLS! It helps that my hairdresser has serious skills and gave me the perfect 'do.

I thought when the big chop was finally happening that I'd feel scared, worried about actually doing it but it felt so very liberating and I felt lighter!!

All you subscribers will have to visit my actual blog to watch The Chop/Carve vid.

This lot will be winging it's way to The Little Princess Trust faster then you can say "Hair I am!" to be made into free real hair wigs for children going through cancer treatment and other hair loss illnesses.

And me? I have a brand new do that makes me feel chic, updated and fabulous!! I can quiff it, slick and wear pretty clips - the possibilities are endless!

I'm artfully disguised - can you tell?

Gone Tomorrow...well Thursday!

My hair appointment is booked for Thursday morning, my long hair's days are numbered!

I'm yet to decide exactly which style I'm going for but my length is getting chopped off in a ponytail and will be sent off to The Little Princess Trust, a fabulous charity that provides real hair wigs for children going through cancer treatment. As soon as I found them my decision was made. They explain that in some cases, young teenage girls refuse their treatment for fear of losing their hair and being teased. So that was that, decision made - If I am not in love with my long hair I need to give it to someone who is risking their life for hair.

I will be donating approximately 12 inches!!

Here are some more possible new do's, let me know what you think!

I personally really like the idea of a very short crop with a full forward fringe, like the 3rd image. My hairdresser will help me work out what's best for my face shape and HawkandFallow is kindly coming along to help me face the chop. I'm going to ask her to film it so I can share it with you guys.

Exciting!!!

Bambi Done Good!

You may remember I wrote about a boutique label called Bambi & Manson, they customise cut-offs and can perform transformative magic on denim.  Well, look what I saw in this month's Cosmopolitan.... TWO features!!

The multi dyed Cutoffs are called Zebra on Acid

Featuring the Aztecs cut offs

Bambi & Manson other then being a multi talented tour de force is also my sister Red and her boyfriend Berlin, so you see I'm very proud!

Another Cinematic Doppelganger

As you know I saw Ken Russell's The Boyfriend at the BFI the other night and it was divine! The dancing, the costumes...oh the costumes! It was like a feature length vogue shoot!

There was an actress called Antonia Ellis playing Maisie who particularly caught my eye because she was fantastic but also she looked strikingly familiar...

Antonia Ellis

Yup it's another doppelganger!

Me an' My Best Girlfriend Gonna See The Boyfriend...

Tomorrow evening, HawkandFallow and I are off to see The Boyfriend on the big screen at the BFI. Directed by the late Ken Russell and starring Twiggy it looks like a sumptuous banquet of visual treats!

Twiggy won Golden Globes for her performance - Best Newcomer and Best Actress (musical/comedy).

I've just seen that this sold out screening will be introduced by Mark Kermode and Twiggy herself!

How very!

We want to have, we plot to have, for it's so dreary not to have that certain thing called "The Boyfriend".
