Just Watched...

This was the very first film that scared me. I remember watching it as a child in the early evening. My mum was going out and she popped in to say goodbye, I was terrified but didn't want to tell her. I remember her saying goodbye, hearing the front door close and I managed to watch the rest of it on my own (there would have been a babysitter in the house as I was young).

I watched it again today and it was almost just as terrifying. Dark, intense, horrific and brilliant.

"I know what conscience is, to begin with. It's not what you told me it was. It is the divinest thing in us. ..I want to be good. I can;t bear the thought of my soul being hideous"
- The Picture of Dorian Gray

I've Been Looking For You For Such a Loooong Time!

You may remember me ranting about a version of these, designed by the genius that is Mondo. Well Urban Outfitters have several different versions in the new collection!

So all that remains is the dilemma - one pair or both pairs?

Which pair would you go for?

Hello. [extends hand out]

Now I'm being brave here, taking a deep breath and asking you, yes you out there, to say hello.

I love writing my blog,it's an outlet for me, I love sharing imagery, films, fashion etc that inspire me. I also love seeing how many people read my posts and all the different nationalities that check out my musings/ramblings/babblings.

For a long time I have wondered how I get so many visitors/readers, all over the world, but no-one says anything, or more specifically comments. So, I thought I'd address you directly and see what happens.

See this is the brave bit cos you could not answer me and then this will be the oddest post I've ever written, so... I'm hoping you will say hello and tell me a bit about yourself and how you came to read my little blog. Maybe you have your own blog and if so I'd love to check it out.

What do you reckon? Just click on the comment link below and type away...

Here I go -

Hello, how are you?

(eeeeeeek!!)

And the best bit, I got to see it on the big screen! It's being screened here in Belfast at the Queen's University cinema so me and Spaghetti Arms went to check it out. It was £3 Monday and it was superb!

Wow-wee was Rita Hayworth a stunner! I couldn't take my eyes off her. Her costumes were to die for.

The film was great, brooding, dramatic, complex.

"Every man I knew went to bed with Gilda... and woke up with me."

- Rita Hayworth

Adam and Paul

I watched this the other day and it was perfect. Just perfect. Funny, sad, thought provoking and beautiful. I highly recommend it. The performances, particularly Tom Murphy's are superb.

Pure class.

Paul: Right, was she pregnant like?
